Early 60's single professional male born and raised in Toronto. Self-employed with a home-based business and conduct most of my business activity in and around the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). I can provide stellar references with my greatest claim to fame being that I was honoured as Volunteer of the Year (2007) with Safehaven Project for Community Living.

Perhaps one of the best testimonials to Mimico and choosing this neighbourhood of all the neighbourhoods in Toronto can be crafted from the story about a previous shared accommodation room mate: She decided to keep her high pressure-high stress job in downtown Toronto (30 - 40 minutes commute each way) and took the co-op housing apartment that came available across the street. Norris Cres. is indeed one gem of a Community  As per the video of the stroll to the lake and the Waterfront parkland system - the start of the Martin Goodman Trail this is a beautiful place, moments away from home, where one can take in a Toronto sunrise or fireworks show from Ontario Place. or experience them flying overhead during the Toronto Airshow. With the trail starting meters away one can cycle downtown in a beautiful trail unimpeded by vehicular traffic. I see my former Room Mate cycling home from work along the trail or walking up the street first thing in the morning to catch the Express Bus service into the city core. Especially now with the Pan Am Games about to happen in this city - It's a perfect place within this great city. Here it could be for you.

Literally steps to public transit (bus and streetcar) with local shopping a block and a half away: a few hundred yards  (couple hundred metres) to the 7-Eleven store - open 24 / 7. Big Box grocery stores a few blocks away.

If you have a motor vehicle street parking can be arranged: The vehicular access  to the major highways into and out of Toronto is ideal. Public Transportation is fantastic  with both the Royal York Bus and the Queen Street / Long Branch Street Car literally steps away. It's a 15- 20 minute bus ride to the Royal York Subway Station on the Bloor-Danforth line and a 25 to 45 minute streetcar ride to downtown (depending on how far you want to go into the downtown core). For a little extra money the GO train is a 15 minute walk - can be downtown in 15 minutes.

For cyclists being about one hundred metres from the start of the western side of the Martin Goodman Waterfront Trail it is good to know that this shared accommodation opportunity also comes with bike storage (why we can even make room for a canoe and or kayak).
